The New Zealand Red Cross says two of its aid workers are shaken after a narrow escape in Afghanistan.
A bomb was set off as 20 personnel, including the New Zealanders, arrived at a hospital in Kandahar.
However the main charge failed to explode and the group escaped. Two had minor injuries from flying plastic.
NZ Red Cross international operations manager Andrew Mckie, says the hospital has closed and most of its staff evacuated to Kabul.
They will stay there for at least three days during a review of security and while they decide whether they want to continue their work.
