People's views are being sought on a plan to change the way ambulance services are run.
One of the proposals in the Ambulance Strategy is for officers to be able to treat patients at home.
The officers would also become registered health professionals.
The proposal to run more in-home non-emergency services is backed by St John's Ambulance.
The strategy also addresses crewing levels.
Consultation is being managed by the National Ambulance Sector Office which is inviting formal submissions until Friday December 12.
