Further drops in price of fuel

9:54 pm on 25 June 2012

There were further declines in the price of fuel on Monday.

BP, Caltex, Mobil and Z have dropped the price of petrol by three cents and diesel by two cents.

That means 91 unleaded now costs about $1.96.9 cents per litre and diesel about $1.40 cents per litre.

BP says the drop is in response to a further decline in the international price for the product and the high New Zealand dollar.

It is BP's seventh consecutive price drop since May.
