Police allege the men have been part of a multi-million dollar drugs trade operation for at least two decades.

A 62-year-old Queenstown man and a 50-year-old Glenorchy man were arrested and charged with cultivating cannabis, and expected to appear in the Queenstown District Court on Monday.

The police say another Queenstown man, aged 55, is expected to appear before the court charged with possession of the drug for supply.

They say a 42-year-old Invercargill man, and another 23-year-old Southland man, have also been arrested on charges of cultivation of cannabis, and both appeared before the Invercargill District Court on Thursday.
