Storm debris have now been cleared from a coastal Wellington road that had been closed due to heavy swells.
Moa Point Road was closed late on Thursday night, as strong waves broke over the road, dumping rocks and debris.
Although the road has been cleared, Wellington City Council says motorists should take care all along the south coast, especially around Owhiro Bay and Island Bay, as strong swells are still causing problems there.
