Third week of investigation into killing

The investigation into the killing of a Paeroa man is now entering its third week.

Jordan Voudouris, 55, was found dead behind his pizza restaurant there. Police still refuse to release details of his injuries.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Whitehead says forensic evidence, combined with statements taken from a variety of people may prove vital to catching the offender.

Police have spoken to dozens of people and officers are checking witness statements and other evidence

Anyone who was in the vicinity of the Mykonos Pizza restaurant between 10pm on Sunday, 17 June and 6am on Monday, 18 June, who has not already spoken to the police, should come forward.

Thirty officers are working on the case.
