Planes flying between Auckland and smaller centres remain grounded on Thursday as heavy fog covers Auckland Airport.
An Airport spokesperson says 52 flights have been cancelled and thirty have been delayed.
Both Air New Zealand and Jetstar flights passengers have been affected.
Four flights from overseas have also been diverted to Wellington or Christchurch because of the fog.
An Air New Zealand spokesperson says flights between Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch are continuing, but flights to smaller towns and cities have all been cancelled.
