Two Rimutaka prison inmates charged in relation to an assault on a prison officer were further remanded when they appeared in Lower Hutt District Court on Wednesday.
The case follows a fight in the prison in June, which left a prison officer with serious injuries after he tried to help an inmate.
Arthur Briggs, 28, was remanded for a plea evaluation on 27 August.
Hamiora Moke, 19, was remanded until 1 August.
Elise Tuese, also 19, was due to appear but his case was deferred pending the availability of his lawyer.
Two other defendants, Brock Norton and Regan Cross, were earlier remanded until 8 and 27 August respectively.
All remain in prison.
