MetService has issued a weather warning for the upper North Island.
Heavy rainfall is expected in Northland, the Coromandel Peninsula, western Bay of Plenty and eastern Waikato near the Kaimai Range.
MetService says although not as much rain as last week's deluge is expected, the saturated conditions mean there could be slips, surface flooding and swollen rivers.
