Changes follow agency merger

The New Zealand Transport Agency is restructuring, but large-scale job losses are unlikely.

The agency was formed in August after a merger between Land Transport New Zealand and Transit New Zealand.

The Public Service Association was briefed on Monday about the changes, which were scheduled as part of the merger.

The union says the number of jobs at the agency will remain unchanged, but there could be losses as personnel compete for available positions.
