State Highway 1 between Pukerua Bay and Paekakariki, north of Wellington, has reopened following a fatal crash.
A woman was killed when her southbound car and a northbound semi-trailer collided near the Beach Road intersection on the Kapiti Coast shortly before 1pm on Wednesday.
The truck driver has been taken to hospital for observation.
