Motorway traffic still disrupted

12:20 pm on 21 November 2008

The southern motorway in Auckland is still partially closed while emergency services remove a truck which crashed into a car, causing significant traffic delays.

The accident created problems for commuters in both directions between Drury and Papakura, and caused delays for students heading to NCEA exams.

The Qualifications Authority says candidates from Rosehill College, Papakura High School and Manurewa High School may have been affected, but it won't know how many until later today.

Police say sections of lanes heading both north and south are closed while the truck is removed, and a median barrier is fixed.
