Two men have been arrested and charged with murdering a man in Helensville last year.
Ross McMurdo, 32, was found dead in his home last July.
However, a year on from the killing police admitted they were baffled by the case, despite having 18 staff assigned to the investigation and interviewing 3000 witnesses.
Detective Inspector Greg Cramer says the arrests are a satisfying development both for police and Mr McMurdo's family.
Police say the two men charged with the killing, aged 24 and 26, will appear in the North Shore District Court on Monday.
