Referee Alain Rolland awarded 28 penalties and Dan Carter kicked 17 points.

All Blacks captain Richie McCaw says it was a classic trans-Tasman fixture.

Wallabies coach Robbie Deans says his side played too much rugby in their own half.

The next match is in Auckland next weekend.
