Telecom is trying to iron out problems with its broadband network.
The service went down across New Zealand on Friday night for about eight hours.
A spokesperson says it's possible a power-related problem at a central exchange in Auckland might be responsible.
Telecom said on Saturday that most customers can surf the internet again, but may still have trouble accessing e-mail.
Remedial work is underway to fix affected systems.
