Police are searching for a paddle boarder missing at Takapuna Beach in Auckland.
The man in his early 50s disappeared early on Wednesday afternoon.
Police search teams found his paddle board a short distance from where he went into the water and have began a shoreline and sea search.
Divers have not been brought in yet, as the visibility in the water was poor on Thursday.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man enter the sea, or witnessed him fall off the board, to contact with them.
