An assault charge laid in relation to the death of a teenager on the Kapiti Coast has been changed to manslaughter.
Name suppression was also lifted when Manawanui Stewart, 25 appeared again in Porirua District Court on Tuesday.
The manslaughter charge relates to the death of Izak Millanta, 17, who was found unconscious in a carpark at the Coastlands shopping mall on 12 August.
A new charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm was also laid relating to an incident involving another man the same day.
The accused was remanded in custody until next month.
