A ruptured gas pipe that disrupted traffic and confined residents to their homes on Auckland's North Shore has been fixed.
Police had warned motorists to avoid the North Shore suburb of Glenfield after the pipe was damaged, apparently by contractors on Monday morning.
Residents in the area were advised to stay indoors and keep windows and doors closed.
Road closures and diversions were lifted after 7pm.
