Police are investigating after a teenage girl said she was raped in the Christchurch suburb of Redwood on Monday night.
Detective Sergeant Richard Quested says the attack in Ramore Reserve was reported to police on Tuesday.
Police want to hear from anyone near the reserve about 11pm on Monday who may have heard or seen anything unusual.
The girl has described the offender as a male Pakeha, possibly wearing a dark-coloured hoodie and jeans.
