Searchers have found the body of a missing Nelson woman.
The body of Ann Sheridan was found on Thursday afernoon in dense bush on the Grampians Hill near the city.
The 48-year-old had been missing since 22 September.
Nelson Bays area commander Steve Greally says while the discovery was not the result everyone hoped for, police are pleased to get closure for Ms Sheridan's family and friends.
A post-mortem will be conducted and the matter referred to the Coroner.
