Police have made seven arrests during a protest against two buildings being constructed on Waiheke Island.
About 60 people started the demonstration against the construction at Wharetana Bay, near popular Ostend beach, at 7am on Monday.
They tried to stop a barge carrying a prefabricated boatshed and pavilion from unloading.
Police say the seven were later released and no charges have been laid.
