Police say they are processing an influx of new information they hope will help them with their investigation into the death of a Hamilton woman.

Rae Portman, who was 33, was two months' pregnant when she disappeared in June. Her body was found on a property south of Auckland last week.

Detective Inspector Mark Gutry says since police released information about a yellow ute that they believe followed Ms Portman's vehicle from Auckland to Hamilton on 20 June they've had nearly 80 calls from the public with new information.

A man whose name is suppressed has appeared in the Papakura District Court charged with kidnapping Ms Portman. Police say further arrests and charges are likely.
