The Tourism Industry Association says some work may need to be done to streamline how regional tourism organisations operate.
The organisations are separately funded and managed locally either through rates or i-site visitor centres.
In some cases, Mr Snedden says, that's caused the organisations to compete with neighbouring destinations for the tourism dollar.
He says working out ways to ensure how they can work together will be a focus of the association this year.
