Power has been restored to parts Wellington and Hutt Valley affected by electricity cuts.
About 2000 properties in central Wellington and the suburbs of Brooklyn and Happy Valley lost power overnight on Wednesday.
In the Lower Hutt suburb of Woburn supplies were cut to about 900 properties.
Wellington Electricity says the power was back on by 3am on Thursday.
