Police in Christchurch are urging people who saw a man firing a sawn-off shotgun to come forward.
A man is facing firearms and drink-driving charges over the alleged incident in the Port Hills four weeks ago.
Police say he fired the gun from a car at the Sign of the Kiwi before firing further shots at Sugarloaf.
Nobody was injured.
