Warning over posting child holiday snaps on internet

An internet safety group is warning parents about putting seemingly innocent photos of their children online.

NetSafe says it is common for parents to post holiday photos of their children on the internet at this time of the year.

However, spokesperson Lee Chisholm says images of children, who are fully clothed, have been found in collections of sex offenders.

She says photos of children, which look innocent, can be collectors items.

Ms Chisholm says people should consider posting photos on websites that can only be accessed by friends and family using a password.
