A number of roads and a section of motorway in Auckland are closed on Sunday for the Auckland marathon.
Participants are taking part in a full, half or quarter marathon starting in Devonport or in the central business district.
Until 10.30am, a section of State Highway One near the harbour bridge and two lanes of the bridge will be closed for runners.
Several North Shore roads in the suburbs of Devonport, Takapuna and Birkenhead will be closed until about 9.30am.
In the central city, roads near the waterfront, including from St Mary's Bay to the suburb of St Heliers, will be closed, some until 1pm.
