Five people were arrested in the Hutt Valley on Wednesday morning after raids on six houses, involving Armed Offenders Squad members and other police officers.
Search warrants were executed under Operation Creek.
Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Cooper said the operation was prompted by concerns raised by the community.
Four men and a woman were arrested for drug-related offences.
Police have seized a firearm, cannabis, drug cultivation equipment and stolen property.
