New Zealand's top tennis player Marina Erakovic is out of the Australian Open.
Erakovic followed up her second round singles exit with a straight sets loss in the first round of the doubles on Thursday.
Erakovic and Croatian partner Jelena Kostanic Tosic were defeated 6-2, 6-2 by Czechoslovakia's Lucie Safarova and Kazakhstan's Galina Voskoboeva.
Safarova beat Erakovic in three sets in the singles competition on Wednesday.
