Rail fault fixed, but delays continue

9:40 am on 15 November 2012

A signal fault on the southern rail line in Auckland is now fixed, but commuters still face big delays on Thursday morning.

Veolia says a cable was cut overnight affecting all services between Pukekohe - Puhinui.

It has been repaired but the backlog is causing problems for southern line passengers and delays and on the Manukau and eastern lines.

It was the second significant disruption in 24 hours after a separate signal failure on Wednesday night.
