Health service hoping to re-open

9:40 am on 15 November 2012

A free health service in New Plymouth for young people that closed last month is planning on reopening within six months.

The Waves health clinic and youth centre shut after it could not raise $35,000 to meet monthly operating costs.

The clinic had 5000 appointments with young people last year.

Waves Trust chair Garth Clarricoats hopes it will open again under a different model with other agencies providing medical services and youth development programmes.
