Police have released the name of a man who was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car on Takaka Hill on Friday evening.
He was Mark Rodger Fowler, 38, of Takaka.
Mr Fowler died at the scene of the crash, which happened on State Highway 60, west of Nelson, about 6pm.
