Strong interest is being shown in a buy-out of ABC Learning Centre's New Zealand operations.
The company's receiver, McGrath Nicoll, said 170 expressions of interest have been submitted for the 120 childcare centres belonging to the group in New Zealand.
The Australian parent company, ABC Learning Centres Ltd, went into receivership in November.
McGrath Nicoll said the New Zealand side of the operation is not in receivership and is being sold as a stand-alone trading business. It expects a sale to be finalised in March.
