A man who was driving a car that was hit by a train has been charged with dangerous driving causing death.
The man, 38, appeared in the Pukekohe District Court on Wednesday morning; he was also charged with dangerous driving causing injury and remanded on bail without plea till February 2.
The charges relate to an incident last week when a car collided with a train near Paerata, south of Auckland, and a child passenger in the car died.
