Dotcom family lower their sights on expenses

Kim Dotcom and his wife, Mona Dotcom, are back in court seeking money to pay for their nannies, butlers and cooks.

In the High Court at Auckland on Wednesday lawyers for the couple asked Justice Potter for more than $20,000 a month to pay for living expenses.

When the police raided Mr Dotcom's mansion in January - as part of an FBI investigation into alleged illegal copyright fraud - all of his funds were frozen.

Since then varying court orders have allowed about $60,000 a month to be paid out to the couple for expenses.

Mrs Dotcom's lawyer Aaron Lloyd told the court that one of these orders, for $40,000 a month, has expired.

He is asking for a lesser amount of $20,000 to replace it.
