The fire service says fire has destroyed two buildings at a Nelson school.
The service says it was called to Nayland College in the suburb of Stoke at 7pm on Friday and found two large garages burning in the school's horticultural area.
Four appliances and 19 firefighters brought the fire under control.
The service says it's currently unable to determine the cause of the fire, but that will be investigated on Saturday.
It says no one was injured and the police have posted a guard at the scene.
