The head of the Anglican Church in New Zealand has called on church leaders worldwide to show moral leadership in the campaign against global warming.
Archbishop David Moxon has made a presentation about the impacts of global warming at a meeting of the world's Anglican leaders in Egypt.
Archbishop Moxon says there is a need to make lifestyle changes and alter travel habits, as well as promote eco-friendly congregations and environmental projects.
He says the church has a biblical, theological and practical role to play in addressing climate change and should set an example.
Other topics covered in the five day meeting included sexuality, aid and conflicts in Zimbabwe, Gaza and Sudan.
