A fire that gutted the premises of a commercial roofing supplier in east Auckland is being investigated.
Fire crews spent several hours on Saturday getting the fire at Gerard Roofs in St John under control. They say it had taken hold by the time they arrived.
Sixteen appliances were sent.
The fire has now been put out, but crews are on standby as a fire investigator tries to find out what caused it.
