Police have identified a body found in Tauranga harbour on Saturday.
Next of kin will be informed before his name is before released.
A post mortem is to be carried out on Monday to establish how he died.
The body was found amongst pylons under the wharf at Mount Maunganui. It had distinctive tattoos including the word "Scorpio".
