Police says a farm worker who went missing for four days has been tracked down by family members using Facebook.
Sergeant Mark Toomey says the 22 year old from Morrinsville texted his brother on Friday to say he was hitch hiking home from a party in Tauranga.
But he failed to arrive home and his family alerted the police.
Mr Toomey says he appears to have fallen asleep in a car, lost his cellphone and ended up in Whakatane.
He says the man's family managed to track him down by talking to his friends in Tauranga on Facebook.
