New bishop a bit nervous

The new Anglican Bishop of Wellington, Justin Duckworth, admits to being a bit nervous about his first Christmas Day service as bishop.

Known for his irreverent style and being barefooted and dreadlocked, he was ordained in June and is giving his first Christmas Day sermon in the capital's Cathedral of St Paul.

Apart from the sermon itself, Bishop Duckworth, 45, said he will be working to instructions.

Bishop Duckworth said he bought shoes and a suit after his ordination, but people are often disappointed he does not turn up to their events barefoot and in jeans and a tee shirt.
