Trade Me's internet dating website FindSomeone has reported record high numbers of people looking for love online.
Membership has risen to 361,266 and the site reports a 67% increase in the number of messages exchanged between members compared with the same time last year.
FindSomeone manager Rick Davies says that shows internet dating is becoming more mainstream and more accessible.
Mr Davies says 2012 has been the most active year for the site, and he expects the numbers to keep climbing.
