A male cyclist has died after a collision with a car in Wellington.
The incident happened about 9.15am on Saturday on Ohariu Valley Road, between Johnsonville and Rifle Range roads.
Police are still at the scene and say the road is likely to be closed for several hours.
Access to Makara Beach and the Ohariu Valley area is still available via Karori and the Makara Hill roads.
