Tourists in hospital after crash

Two German tourists are in Dunedin hospital after a crash in Central Otago on Tuesday night. One is in a critical condition.

The crash occurred on State Highway Eight in the Cromwell Gorge. Police say it appears their car rolled.

The two occupants were young males who were working in New Zealand.

One is in a critical condition in intensive care and the other is in the high dependency ward.

The cause of the crash is not known. However, speed is not suspected.
