A deerstalker who shot his hunting companion will be sentenced on Thursday afternoon for causing his death.
Henry Worsp, 36, shot and killed James Dodds while the pair were hunting in Waikite Valley, 30km south of Rotorua, on 7 September last year.
Worsp told police he was convinced Mr Dodds was a deer.

He will be sentenced at 2.15pm.
