A total of about 200 people have taken part in a pair of silent protests in Auckland and Wellington in support of the anti-rape movement in India.
There have been protests across India following the gang rape of a 23-year-old student on a bus in Delhi last month.
She died in hospital two weeks later.
About 50 people gathered outside the Indian High Commission in Wellington, and about 150 in Auckland's Aotea Square on Saturday.
The Global Peace and Justice group and the Asian women's support group, Shakti, say they organised the protests to mourn in solidarity with the anti-rape movement in India.
