No sign of teenager missing on Clutha River

9:11 pm on 13 January 2013

The search for the teenager missing in the flooded Clutha River since Saturday, will continue on Monday morning.

Blake Sinclair, 18, from the Clutha Valley, was kneeboarding off a jetboat with his family in the Waitahuna confluence area on Saturday afternoon when he failed to resurface.

On Sunday more than 100 volunteers, five police staff and 13 jetboats continued to search for Mr Sinclair, focussing their efforts on the river flow, and the banks.

The police national dive squad is also onsite.

However they found nothing, and police said the spilling headwaters are causing visibility problems for the teams.
