A factory in Palmerston North was been damaged by fire.
The fire broke out at Hynds Pipe Systems at about 7.45pm on Saturday.
The Fire Service said the building was well alight when crews arrived. The fire is being treated as suspicious.
In Poukawa, near Hastings, helicopters were used to put out a scrub fire started by lightning strikes on Saturday afternoon.
