An Air New Zealand flight from Wellington to Sydney was diverted on Friday morning because of an engineering problem.
Air New Zealand said Flight NZ845 had to return to New Zealand when the pilot noticed a problem enroute to Australia.
It flew to Auckland airport where it was inspected by engineers before resuming its journey at about 10am.
Air New Zealand did not give any detail of the problem.
