The struggling Wellington Phoenix footballers were taken apart by Sydney FC in Sydney on Saturday night, losing their A-League encounter 7-1.
It was their worst defeat ever.
The Phoenix were five goals down by half-time, although the third was a contentious penalty.
Sydney's star, the Italian Alessando del Piero, scored four times, including the penalty. Ben Sigmund scored a late consolation goal for the Phoenix.
The Wellington team remains rooted to the bottom of the A-League, a point behind Brisbane Roar, who are in action on Sunday.
